Alright, so I am here in the Frankfurt airport again. Last time I was going and now I am coming back. So I just got off of an 11 hour plane trip and Im not feeling too bad at all. I will hopefully sleep a little at the start of my plane trip to Canada but I got of couple hours of fake sleep on the way here so I should be okay for a while.
I had an amazing last week in Cape Town! Even though most of my friends here left me alone this weekend, a couple of locals were nice enough to let me hang out with them namely Leigh-Anne, after everything she has done for me it would be an insult if she didn't get a mention in my blog. I was able to finally go up Table Mountain which was mind blowing. The way the mist and clouds just settle on the mountain... you gotta go check it out!
I was trying to decide if I should sleep now or on the plane but, I have decided upon the ladder of the 2 because I am travelling with a bass guitar and I would hate to fall asleep and wake up with it gone. Man, I just want to take a short break and get right back onto the next plane. this whole waiting thing is kinda lame when your traveling by yourself. I should mention at this time that Frankfurt Germany is when of the richest cities in Europe with the lowest unemployment rate in all Germany. Simply put, it costs money to live here....a lot of money. Luckily my cheque this month has NOT gone through yet so I have enough money to buy a stale muffin and a half cup of coffee :P Totally joking, but serious Im not.
Saying good-bye is always hard especially when you have been somewhere for a long time and I have found that to be very true here. I had a hectic day on the 17th trying to pack and say good-bye to everyone. Well, long story short I made my flight, my luggage went through with no problems even though it was crazy heavy and I got my bass on board with ease in Cape Town. I'm hoping for no problems with Air Canada but, you never know. I guess its moments like these where you just gotta have faith. I will be home tonight. I say tonight because it is officially the 18th in all three cities (Cape Town, Frankfurt, Ottawa). Alright thats all for now but I have a lot to say just little battery power to do it with.
